Two days ago, I drove an electric cart all over Walmart, then my home care OT woman was very surprised at how well I did — she has a hard time trying to challenge me any more, with two large, thick rubber exercise bands, instead of one, and an 8lb. bar instead of a 2lb. one.
Yesterday , my home care PT woman said she’s going to ask my doctor to prescribe outpatient care to start after next week, so that they can challenge me more.
Then my Endocrinologist reduced me to only one insulin shot per day, and started me on Glimepiride and Metformin pills instead. I used my walker to walk in and out of his office.
On the way home, we stopped at Walmart again, and I walked the whole store with a regular shopping cart! Wowee! Today, I walked several doors down, and several doors up, using a walker.
With all that said, post-stroke life is still very painstaking and slow, but God is still good.
Thank you for your continued love, prayers, and support!
