Making Geek-Speak Chic™ On The Web Since 1997
Flying Under The Radar Of Mass Popularity

Through my share of good times, and possibly more than my share of challenges, I've learned that life is hard, but God is good — so I've always tried to put my faith into action and keep my sense of humor. This Web site has been my labor of love since 1997. I hope that it and my ministry will bless, inspire, and empower you.

In December, 2017, I suffered a massive stroke that "disconnected" my entire left side from my brain, and hospitalized me for a month. Through months of hundreds of hours of painful, tedious rehabilitation, I relearned how to open my tightly-clenched left fist, turn my head, raise my left hand, sit, walk, subtract one number from another, etc.

Jesus loves us just the way we are.
Thank God, He doesn't leave us that way.

His Philosophical Mode

Today, Mr. Peanut was in a really playful mood. Non-stop for at least a couple of hours, and without being prompted, he loudly, happily, and hilariously regaled us — from “his throne” in the back seat — with apparently every song, rhyme, expression, and fact that [more…]

He’s Awake!

After a long day of riding in the car, Mr. Peanut finally fell asleep, a few minutes before he got home. His uncle, Joshua, came out to my car and carefully carried him to lay him down in to his crib, without waking him up.

As Josh returned to my car, to get [more…]

Hi, Mr. Peanut!

This copyrighted ComputerBob.com post cannot legally appear anywhere else.

Besides Melissa, I’m one of only 3 people who are authorized (by the Department of Children and Families) to take care of the boys. This morning, I watched them in Melissa’s home for awhile, while she went with a friend, in a truck, to pick up a truck-sized plastic play slide for the boys.

As soon as he saw me, [more…]

He Colors

The boys and I had lots and lots of fun in the church sanctuary today. Way too much to remember here. But some of the highlights included Ahmari repeatedly wanting me to balance an empty package of wipes on top of his head; Mr. Peanut bringing me a small, plastic, 4-stringed toy guitar, so that I would play it for him while he danced; Mr. Peanut, drawing [more…]

His Music Appreciation Time

This copyrighted ComputerBob.com post cannot legally appear anywhere else.

For the past few days, Mr. Peanut has greeted me unusually happily and lovingly. Like always, he’s been running to me, as soon as he sees me. But, lately, he’s been wanting me to pick him up and hold him; he’s given me kisses on the cheek, he’s liked to climb all over me when I’m sitting in a church pew, and he’s been wanting to repeatedly stand in [more…]

His Guitar

This copyrighted ComputerBob.com post cannot legally appear anywhere else.

Ever since his crawling days, Mr. Peanut has been fascinated by watching people play the guitar. He’s also always been happy whenever a guitar player has allowed him to strum the strings of their guitar.

So, what’s next, to [more…]

He’s On The Worship Team

Melissa told me that, his morning, Mr. Peanut was allowed to “play” the piano — and then the drums — along with the whole worship team, during the entire church service.

Onstage, the church’s worship leader [more…]

He Tries It

This morning, while his uncle Josh (Melissa’s son) was rearranging his car seat, Mr. Peanut happily climbed from the floor of the back seat, between the two front car seats, into the front seat area, as he happily greeted me, “Hey, Buddy!” Then he sat on the front passenger seat and looked around with delight — like a [more…]

He Loves To Sing At Church

Melissa got some incredible photos and videos of Mr. Peanut at this morning’s church service. She says that he loves to get there early, when the worship team is practicing their songs.

How Old Is He, Again?

This copyrighted ComputerBob.com post cannot legally appear anywhere else.

Yesterday, I watched 2-1/2 year-old Mr. Peanut, and his little brother, Ahmari, in the sanctuary of a local church for the homeless, while their grandma — my dear friend and ministry partner, Melissa — came and went, doing volunteer work.

At one point, Mr. Peanut was standing on the sanctuary’s stage, curiously [more…]

It Was Only A Matter Of Time 3

Tonight, I heard the familiar “Grandma Shark, doot, doot, doo, doot, doot, doo” part of the Baby Shark song, which I had edited, slowed-down, and customized my cell phone to use as a ring tone, whenever my ministry partner, Melissa, calls me.

I answered, “Hello!” [more…]

He Is Thankful

This copyrighted ComputerBob.com post cannot legally appear anywhere else.

Mr. Peanut is almost 2-1/2 years old. One of his favorite things to do is watch and listen to online videos of children’s songs — in both English and Spanish. In the past, he danced to them. Then, he started humming along with them. As time went by, he began to sing gibberish words along with them. Now, he’s able to [more…]

2019 Closing Thought
