Your Experience Is History

I have absolutely no interest in tweeting. To me, tweeting everything you do is a stupid activity for everyone except self-absorbed celebrities, who do it to hawk their movies, fragrances, clothing lines and beauty products to their fawning fans. Come to think of it, the phrase “self-absorbed celebrities” is redundant.
On the other hand, my parents’ generation probably doesn’t consider blogging to be a worthwhile activity, but I’ve been writing this Journal every day for several years and I plan to continue doing it.
Have you ever stopped to think about how many of the things that you grew up doing have since passed into history?
It’s like your entire life experience is quickly becoming irrelevant to everyone but yourself.
Sadly, I suspect that that has become the definition of aging in the U.S.
