Windows Worm Infects Millions 2

Yikes! The news on this subject just keeps getting worse.
Now, not only are Windows users at risk of being infected by the worm, but Microsoft itself may be making the problem even worse and putting Windows users at even greater risk, by giving them bad advice on how to deal with it. “Microsoft’s advice on disabling Windows’ ‘Autorun’ feature is flawed, the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) said today, and it leaves users who rely on its guidelines to protect their PCs against the fast-spreading Downadup worm open to attack.”
As can be expected, Slashdot’s readers have a lot to say about that.
And, as if I haven’t said it enough times already, I’ll say it again: I’m really, really glad to be running Linux full-time instead of Windows.
