Why You Want A Linux Live CD

Chances are, most Linux users have already used them or are at least already familiar with what they are.
On the other hand, if you’re a Windows user, there’s a good chance that you don’t even know what they are, and even less of a chance that you already know Why You Want A Linux Live CD.
I’ve used them for many years, for all kinds of tasks, ranging from PC diagnostics and troubleshooting, to testing PC hardware, to quickly and easily getting Internet access on a Windows computer that wouldn’t boot up, to making changes to hard drive partitions, to making backups of Windows and Linux hard drives and partitions, and testing PCs for Linux compatibility.
In fact, yesterday morning I downloaded a Windows XP password-hacking Linux Live CD to keep, just in case I might need it some day — surprisingly, by 10:00 last night, I had already used it twice, to remove the unknown administrator passwords from 2 different Windows XP computers.
