Unbreakable LCD Screen
February 27th, 2010 by ComputerBob
I’m using a 22-inch widescreen LCD monitor as I type this.
And you’re probably using an LCD monitor to read this.
That’s because, in the past several years, light, flat, energy-efficient LCD screens have gotten cheap enough to replace nearly everyone’s heavy, energy-guzzling CRT monitors.
And, of course, LCD screens have been used in small, portable devices like cell phones and digital music players, for many years.
But now there’s a new unbreakable LCD screen technology that is probably going to start replacing regular LCD screens in a lot of those devices very soon.
And I suspect that it may eventually end up in our wallets, too, as completely new types of credit cards, drivers licenses and other IDs.
