This Guy Was Really Disgusted With Microsoft
June 26th, 2008 by ComputerBob
In a recently released memo, he describes in meticulous detail the long, frustrating experience that he had when he tried to download and install Microsoft Moviemaker from the Microsoft.com web site.
The web site was painfullly slow. Things went wrong. Other things were incredibly confusing. He was forced to go to Windows Update and install megabytes of stuff that he didn’t even want. It took so long and he got so confused that he forgot that he was even trying to download Moviemaker.
And when he finally finished the whole process, he still didn’t have Moviemaker.
It probably wouldn’t surprise you to read a story like his — it’s a pretty standard description that would undoubtedly cover most people’s experiences with downloading and installing Microsoft software.
But you may be surprised to learn that the memo was written by Bill Gates himself.
And he reportedly told a reporter that he writes memos like that every day.
