The Wisdom Of Dwight Schrute
September 24th, 2009 by ComputerBob
I watch a lot of TV. My wife reads a lot, because she loves to read, and because her TV-watching standards are much higher than mine.
But she never misses an episode of The Office. Sometimes, when I’m busy working on something in my home office, and she’s out in the living room, watching The Office, I hear her laughing out loud every few minutes.
I think everyone should have at least one thing in life that makes them laugh out loud.
One of that show’s funniest characters is Assistant (to the) Regional Sales Manager, Dwight Schrute. Dwight is a mean-spirited, antisocial office bully with a mid-teenage personality, who constantly tries to dominate his co-workers but is submissive to his ditzy, father-figure of a boss whom he both admires and increasingly rebels against — always with humiliating results.
Here are some of Dwight’s insights into life.
And here’s the Dwight Schrute bobblehead doll that I ordered for my wife a couple of years ago (seen with our Chik-fil-A cow doll).
