The Road Not Taken

It may come as a surprise to anyone who knows how many hard times I’ve been through, but I’m generally quite content with how my life has turned out so far.
Of course, if I had it to do over, I would want to do some things differently.
I would certainly want to learn some of my hard lessons sooner.
Try to not make many of the same mistakes.
Avoid some of the pain.
Make that “Avoid as much of the pain as possible.”
But the roads that I have chosen have taken me many places.
Through many adventures with many other travelers.
And — most importantly — they have brought me to where I am now.
So I don’t regret the road not taken.
