The Impact Of Tomorrow’s Internet?
March 19th, 2010 by ComputerBob
As I’ve said before, there are so many variables involved that it’s nearly impossible to accurately predict events even a year or two into the future.
And there aren’t enough people trying to do it for the infinite-monkey theorem to apply.
So we know that only a tiny percentage of anyone’s predictions will turn out to be accurate.
We also know that, as difficult as it is to accurately predict future events, it’s even more difficult to accurately predict their impact on society.
So the odds are that only a tiny percentage of anyone’s predictions of future events will turn out to be accurate. And of that tiny percentage, an even tinier percentage of their predictions of the impact of those future events will turn out to be accurate.
Therefore, there’s only a tinier chance of a tiny chance that the 11 Ways Tomorrow’s Internet Will Change Everything will turn out to be accurate.
