Thanks 2 Million!
March 21st, 2009 by ComputerBob
I started this web site way back in August, 1998, as a teaching tool for the 12 college computer courses that I was teaching at a local college that semester.
Over time, it grew from its humble beginnings as a few simple static HTML pages that contained only some college course information, to thousands of both static and dynamic XHTML pages with interactive features, containing “News, Views, Information, Software, Help and Fun” on dozens of different topics.
And its audience slowly expanded from my original 200+ college students per semester, to thousands of people from over 100 countries around the world.
Over the years, I’ve tried to tell you about much more than computers and technology.
I’ve tried to share my life with you, in the hope that my stories might help you.
And I’ve blessed by many of you who have written to share your stories with me.
It took over 9 years and 9 months for this site to have its 1-millionth visitor.
Some time later today, this site will have its 2 millionth visitor — only 9 1/2 months after its 1-millionth visitor.
I’m astounded and deeply honored.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
