Tall Tales, Hoaxes And Scams

It’s been over ten years since I first wrote How To Stop Email Hoaxes.
But I still occasionally receive email messages from friends, containing some of the same hoaxes that I mentioned in that decade-old article.
I guess that — just as in many other areas of life — the more unbelievable something is, the more some people insist on believing in it.
And once people believe that something is true, it’s very hard for them to ever “unbelieve” it, even when faced with overwhelming contradictory evidence.
With that in mind, here are ten tall tales, hoaxes and scams that came from Hollywood.
