Switching From Windows To Linux

If you’re a regular reader of this Journal, you already know that I’ve been very happily using Linux full-time instead of Windows since July of 2006.
And you already know all of the reasons why I switched.
But maybe you’re still a Windows user.
Even though your Windows PC keeps running slower and slower.
Even though you find yourself spending more and more time and money downloading and installing all kinds of junk to try to plug Windows’ swiss-cheese of security systems.
And even though you know in your heart that there’s something basically wrong with having to pay for an operating system that isn’t secure, that needs a lot of continous maintenance, and that is designed to take away — and then sell back to you — your right to do whatever you want to do with your own PC.
Maybe you’ve been scared to try Linux because you don’t know how you would be able to switch from Windows to Linux.
