Several Stories In One Post 2
May 28th, 2010 by ComputerBob
This is one of those days when I can’t decide which of several different stories to feature in this Journal.
So I’m going to lump all of them together.
On the health front, in Canada, “A team of scientists found that 70 per cent of popular bottled water brands available in shops had high levels of bacteria… Heterotrophic bacteria counts in some of the bottles were found to be in revolting figures of one hundred times more than the permitted limit. “
On the security front, in Louisiana, “A Senate bill to toughen penalties for crimes committed with the aid of Internet-generated “virtual maps,” including acts of terrorism, won quick approval Monday in the House.” And in the U.S. Senate, “A bipartisan pair of Senate leaders have introduced a first-of-its-kind bill aimed at stopping terrorist suspects such as the would-be Times Square bomber from hiding their identities by using prepaid cellphones to plot their attacks. “
And on a lighter note, here are 7 Ways Computer Glitches Can, And Have, Ruined Your Day.
