Poor Windows Users
June 13th, 2010 by ComputerBob
Poor Windows users.
They pay hundreds of dollars for their operating system.
And hundreds more for OS upgrades.
Plus, they also have to buy hundreds of dollars worth of productivity applications, because Windows doesn’t come with any of the applications that nearly every computer user needs.
And Windows users have to spend countless hours, and horrible amounts of effort and money, to find, install, configure, update and run all kinds of CPU-hogging, third-party security applications, to try to protect their computers and their private data from millions of types of malware — all because their expensive, bare-bones Windows operating system doesn’t have the ability to properly protect itself.
And to make matters even worse, it turns out that one of the most highly trusted, third-party providers of Windows security applications can no longer be trusted, because it uses deception, fear and insecure methods to market its products.
So what’s a poor Windows user to do?
Regular readers of this Journal know the answer.
Many thanks to regular reader MALsPa for bringing today’s linked article to my attention.
