Pointless Babble

Regular readers of this Journal know that I’m not at all impressed by the whole Twitter phenomenon. I think it’s a flash-in-the-pan, fad technology that will quickly lose its hipness and go out of style.
A new research study agrees, concluding that 40 percent of tweets are “pointless babble.”
What about the remaining 60 percent?
They’re a combination of useless drivel, senseless chatter and self-absorbed gibberish.
