Microsoft Caves In To Critics

A few days ago, I told you that a user had discovered and reported to Microsoft a serious security vulnerability in Windows 7.
And the company’s reply to him claimed that the vulnerability was “by design.”
Well, thanks to “intense criticism,” Microsoft has announced that “it will change the behavior of User Account Control (UAC) in Windows 7’s release candidate.”
So it looks like Redmond actually does occassionally listen to computer users — if we shout loud enough.
