Life Is Hard, But God Is Good

Some of you have explored enough of this Web site to know that, one Saturday morning several years ago, I was concerned about my little brother, so I called him, but he wasn’t home.
Because he had left a few minutes earlier, to commit suicide.
Two mornings later, I gave his eulogy.
At the end of that eulogy, I quoted the chorus of one of my favorite songs: “Life Is Hard (God Is Good)” by Pam Thum, and then played the CD of that song for everyone at the memorial service to hear.
Today, someone who I really care about is going through a very, very difficult time.
If you are too, please know that there are lots of people who care about you — people who would be honored to listen to your feelings and help you get through whatever you’re going through.
Life is hard, but God is good.
