It’s Not Funny Anymore

On the day after the U.S. national elections, I wrote the following: “And The Frostbite State will always field cartoon-character candidates, in a misguided effort to sustain its long tradition of being a national political laughingstock.”

But with a filibuster-proof Senate majority — and possibly the future of the entire country — at stake, is anyone laughing now?
