Internet Use Alters Older Brains
October 21st, 2009 by ComputerBob
Is it just one more thing for senior citizens to fear?
Nope — it’s actually good news.
A recent study found that adults aged 55 and over who have previously had only limited Internet experience, showed positive changes in their brain activity after only one week of doing Internet searches. In fact, “The results suggest Internet training can stimulate neural activation patterns and could potentially enhance brain function and cognition in older adults.”
So if you care about someone who is a senior citizen, you might want to teach them how to get on the Internet and do some searches.
Your brain — use it or lose it.
