Interesting 404 Error Pages
February 17th, 2009 by ComputerBob
Anyone who’s been on the web for more than a few days has probably seen at least a few of them.
A 404 Error Page (”Page Not Found”) is what you see if you try to access a web page that doesn’t exist. That usually happens when you mis-type a URL or click on an outdated hyperlink that leads to a web page that someone has since moved to a different location.
In the past, I created simple custom error pages for this site, but I haven’t used them for the past few years. So this site’s 404 Error Page is currently just the default generic, standard, text-based one that you get when you sign up with most web hosts.
70 More Fantastic 404 Error Pages has some interesting and entertaining — though not necessarily “fantastic” — examples of custom error pages on other web sites.
