Ingenious Flipper Bridge

In some countries, drivers drive on the left side of the road. In other countries, they drive on the right side.
But what if you have a highway that connects those two countries? How can you efficiently swap all of the traffic from each side of the road to the opposite side?
An ingenious flipper bridge performs that task quickly and safely for traffic that flows between Hong Kong and mainland China.
But ironically, the fact that the bridge does its job so well may actually increase the number of wrong-side-of-the-road accidents.
Feel free to insert your own lame political joke at this point. For example, “An appropriate name for such a bridge might be “The Arlen Specter Bridge” and “I hope that President Obama never tries to build a new highway, because it would only have left lanes.”
