If It Scares Microsoft…

I’ve said it many times before: If Microsoft has good news, it’s almost always bad news for consumers.
And if Microsoft has bad news, it’s almost always good news for consumers.
If you don’t believe me, do your own research. Find several of Microsoft’s past press releases, announcing this-or-that wonderful news for the company.
And see if you think that it’s wonderful news for computer users.
Soulless monopolies need to do their work in the shadows. They hate concepts like freedom and openness.
If you let people have even a taste of those two things, the next thing you know, you won’t be able to control and exploit them any more.
That’s why tiny little Linux’s miniscule percentage of desktop computer users is such a threat to Microsoft.
One writer puts it a slightly different way: If It Scares Microsoft, It’s Good For Everyone Else.
