It wasn’t the first time that he had done it.
Or the first time that he was caught.
In fact, this is the second time that he will be punished — with what is possibly the longest prison sentence ever handed down for such an offense:
“A former security researcher turned criminal hacker has been sentenced to 13 years in federal prison for hacking into financial institutions and stealing credit card account numbers.”
He also has been ordered to pay $27.5 million in restitution to his victims.
