How To Help Someone Use A Computer

Regular readers of this Journal know that I started using personal computers in 1979, because I felt like the whole world knew about them and I was going to be left behind.
Since then, I’ve helped thousands of people learn to use computers.
In fact, I originally started this Web site just to teach people about computers.
I really enjoy Making Geek Speak Chic™ — it makes me happy to empower people with knowledge and power so that they can improve their lives.
But we all know that there are many different ways to “teach people about computers.”
And unfortunately, many of them serve little purpose other than to let “the teacher” show off their knowledge to “the student.”
So, for anyone who’s really serious about helping others, here’s some really good advice on How To Help Someone Use A Computer.
