How To Get Better Deals

Over the years, I’ve been told several times that I would make a great salesperson. I think that’s because I’m very honest, very personable and I try to be very helpful to people.
But I suspect that maybe people have suggested that to me because they wish that more salespeople were honest, personable and helpful.
But my personality style wouldn’t necessarily make me a successful salesperson.
In fact, I may be wrong, but it seems to me that there are many types of sales jobs in which it would probably be virtually impossible for a really honest person to be able to make a living.
I have a non-existent negotiation style. Instead of using highball or lowball tactics to try to manipulate people’s expectations, I tend to make my very best offer up-front. If they turn it down, I’m done, since I can’t offer them any better deal than what I’ve already offered.
On the other hand, some people are really good at negotiating deals.

You may find it to be very helpful information.
But I’ll probably just mostly stick with the way I am now.
