Have We Lost The Privacy War?

Regular readers of this Journal know that I’m a staunch supporter of computer users’ privacy rights.
And it drives me crazy that an increasing number of those users are willing to trade the security and confidentiality of their private data for a little added convenience.
Many of you have written to tell me that you agree with me; a few of you have written to tell me that you think I’m too paranoid.
I’m going to keep feeling the same way, and I don’t care if anyone thinks that I’m too paranoid.
But here’s someone who does.
And of course, Slashdot’s members are happy to tell him.
