Gourmet Buffet Or Warmed-Up Leftovers?
November 14th, 2008 by ComputerBob
A few years ago, Windows Vista arrived with the promise of several new whiz-bang features — but instead delivered disappointment and several new whiz-bang problems. As a result, the market’s almost complete rejection of Vista forced Redmond to repeatedly push back the industry-preferred Windows XP’s “retirement schedule.”
Now the IT world has begun to salivate over extremely early, extremely controlled, test-version presentations of Vista’s some-day replacement, code-named Windows 7. (Did people learn nothing from the Mojave Experiment?)
And just like its older sibling, Windows 7 promises several new whiz-bang features.
But will Windows 7 keep its promises or will it be just another huge disappointment?
