Firefox 3.5 Features

June 23rd, 2009 by ComputerBob

Regular readers of this Journal know that I’ve been using Linux full-time instead of Windows since July of 2006.

But my most long-term and dedicated readers also know that I’ve been using the free and open source Firefox web browser instead of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer ever since November 10, 2004 — the day after Firefox 1.0 was released. In fact, it was so long ago that I wasn’t even sure about that date myself — I had to look it up in my Journal Archive.

From its birth, Firefox has always had many advantages over Internet Explorer, including being more secure, running on multiple operating systems and having many more useful features.

But, as the old saying goes, you aint seen nothin’ yet.

Firefox 3.5 has several amazing new features that you probably haven’t even imagined a browser could have, as shown in this video.

And you’re going to love the fact that it reportedly runs about twice as fast as Firefox 3 and about ten times faster than Firefox 2.
