Final Notice

One of my cousins left a short message on my cell phone a little while ago, notifying me that my biological father passed away early this morning.
Anyone who has read some of my articles in this site’s Domestic Violence Information section can probably understand why I’m left with very mixed feelings.

There’s no doubt about it Bob - parents CAN f*** you up! What is worse to contemplate is that abuse within a family can be cyclical and becomes infectious through the generations! The best one can do, I guess, is resolve to ensure that it doesn’t continue beyond this point.
I don’t know what you have suffered, but I simply pray that you will be healed both mentally and spiritually. As they say in the UK - “Don’t let the bastards grind you down!”
