Don’t Compare Linux To Windows Or The Mac

One of the ways that bloggers and journalists alike get readers’ attention is to give their articles inflammatory sweeping titles like “Windows Vista Is The Devil’s Spawn” or “Desktop Linux Isn’t Ready For Prime-Time.”
Many who agree with the title will want to read the whole article to bolster their own feelings of superiority, while many who disagree with the title will want to read the whole article so that they can post a reply that vehemently disagrees with it, point-by-point.
Either way, the article gets a lot of readers.
Here’s an author who says it’s not fair to compare Linux to Windows or the Mac.
