Company Wants To Spy On Drivers

How much are your privacy and confidentiality worth to you?
Regular readers know that I don’t trust free online services like Google Apps with any of my private or confidential data.
That’s because, unlike a growing percentage of computer users, I’m not willing to trade my privacy and confidentiality for a little convenience.
I feel the same way about stores that offer me “free” gifts or discounts in exchange for my name, address, telephone number and email address.
And I would feel the same way if my automobile insurance company offered me a discount to let them spy on my teenager’s driving habits.
To make matters even worse, one of the Slashdot readers’ comments apparently proves that the discount offer is a lie.

Very punny, but I don’t use the nvidia drivers. I use the open-source “nv” driver.
