Canon Camera Recall 3

Regular Journal readers know that, about a month ago, I sent my more-than-3-year-old, out-of-warrantee Canon PowerShot A75 camera back to Canon to be repaired for free, as part of a Canon factory recall.
Yesterday afternoon, my wife’s Canon PowerShot A75 camera, which I had bought for her one month after I had received mine, began exhibiting the exact same symptoms — purple, blurry images. I immediately called Canon but, as I suspected, they were closed for the Labor Day holiday.
So I’ll be calling Canon again later today, to make arrangements to have them repair my wife’s camera free-of-charge, too.
