Blogging Lessons
January 3rd, 2009 by ComputerBob
Years ago, I published my own email computers-and-technology newsletter for a year or two. It had several hundred subscribers, including the president of the college where I taught. Early issues were simple text-only email messages. Later issues were highly-formatted, semi-professional HTML publications.
In October of 2003, I began writing online Journal entries on this web site every couple of days. Before too long, I started writing them every single day — and I’ve been writing them every day since then.
That’s a whole lot of writing.
When I started this Journal, I mostly just did straight reporting of technology news stories of the day. Over time, I started adding my own comments to the news.
And regular readers know that my Journal, like the rest of this site, also often contains stories about my own personal experiences.
I wish you well if you’re thinking of starting your own blog, or if you’re looking to improve your existing one. For some good ideas to consider, take a look at 30 Lessons Learned From A Newbie Blogger.
