An Apple A Day

I don’t remember the details, because I was never interested in buying one myself, but I remember that when the Apple iPhone first came out, even though it was impressively expensive, thousands of people all over the world stood in line for hours, hoping to be one of the first to purchase one.
Just a few short months later, Apple announced a newer iPhone that was even better — for about half the price of the original one.
And just a couple of weeks ago, a even newer model was released that reportedly puts all of the previous models to shame.
Over the years, I’ve noticed that Apple does the same thing with all of its products: “The old model stinks. The new model is incredible. You need the new model.” Rinse, repeat.
The Oatmeal has noticed that pattern, too. That’s why he drew a comic called What It’s Like To Own An Apple Product.
