Amazing Bamboo Taxis
July 12th, 2009 by ComputerBob
If one of them ever gets into an accident with a traditional vehicle, everyone on board will probably be killed.
But a town in the Phillippines now uses earth-friendly taxis that are made out of 90% bamboo. Each taxi can reportedly carry up to 20 passengers and run for 8 hours on only one gallon of coconut biodiesel fuel.
The only downside is that they constantly need body work, since each taxi grows up to 24 inches longer each day.
Insert your own lame Gilligan’s Island joke here.
