A Very Special Niche
April 16th, 2009 by ComputerBob
Anyone who knows much about Linux knows that there are hundreds of different Linux distros. Each distro starts with the Linux kernel and then adds its own unique combination of installer, applications, utilities, applications, hardware detection, package manager and other details.
So there are many general-purpose Linux distros, as well as many special-purpose Linux distros for users with specialized needs such as hard drive recovery, web servers, security testing, multimedia editing and many, many more.
But here’s a really unusual one.
It’s for people who want Linux’s power…
And security…
And freedom…
And configurability…
But for some reason, they want it to look like Windows Vista.
If that sounds like a good idea to you, then you’re going to love Vixta.
What’s next? A Ferrari that looks like a Volkswagen?
