A Neighborhood Landmark
July 10th, 2010 by ComputerBob
Regular readers of this Journal know that my wife and I are very blessed to live just a few doors away from a beautiful new park/preserve. And Max and I have taken our walk in that park every single day since it opened.
About a week ago, my boss told me that she’s planning to move to a new apartment that’s only about 1/2 mile away, so I told her all about the new park.
A couple of days ago, she told me that she and a friend had driven over to take a look at the park, which turned out to be a lot bigger than she had imagined. She said that they also drove through the neighborhood that adjoins the park, and she told me, “That’s a really nice neighborhood!”
I told her, “Yeah, that’s my neighborhood! We really love it.”
She said, “Have you seen the house that has a mailbox or something in the front yard that’s a little house with a dachsund looking out of it?”
I laughed and replied, “Yeah, that’s my house!”
Then I showed her this.
