A Chilling Thought

Here it is again: the 4th of July. The day that the U.S. celebrates its independence from England.
In the past, I’ve heard a lot of Americans say that if we hadn’t helped defeat Hitler in World War II, we’d all be speaking German right now.
But here’s something else that many people don’t realize: If we hadn’t won our independence from England in the 1700s, we’d all be speaking English right now.
