Regular readers of this Journal know that I was a Windows power user and did Windows tech support for many years before I started using Linux full-time instead of Windows in July of 2006.
And by now, many Windows users know that, unlike Linux PCs, Windows PCs slow down over time. They also know that it takes a lot of tweaking and maintenance to try to keep a Windows PC running at a decent speed.
How much tweaking and maintenance?

And don’t forget that Windows users also have to do a lot of tweaking and maintenance to try to fill the countless holes in Windows’ swiss-cheese of security.
Are you willing to do all of that geeky stuff to your PC?
I’m not.
And with Linux, I don’t have to.
Who says that Linux is just for geeks?
