5 Million Domains Serving Malware

If you’re a Windows user, you should be aware that “A quick search on Google and Yahoo! revealed that there are around 500,000 and 5,000,000 domains affected and serving malware, respectively”
Windows PCs are automatically infected by it — simply by visiting any one of the infected domains.
So where did the malware come from?
Starting this past January, the formerly sole domain name registrar for .com, .net and .org domains added a malware-infected widget to all of its parked domains.
It should come as no surprise that Slashdot’s readers have a lot to say about that.
