From Email, Letters, Guestbook Entries, Phone Calls, and Forums
My Dear Friend, My church has asked us to write a letter about people who have inspired us. I would certainly like to include you as one of those people. You have helped me out tremendously in every way. My church would like to know who brought me closer to God and that person is you.
Hi, we just wanted to say thanks for taking care of us while our parents were out of town. Hope that someday, if they go again, you’ll be the one who comes. (Card received from three dachshunds that I sometimes babysit).
Thank you for everything. We did it. (Card received from a student who passed algebra after I tutored her)
I’ve been reading some of your writings. Thank you for your message of love. Love, true love, is never lost. By this, I mean the kind of love that only wishes the other person well. May your journey be a safe and peaceful one.
I just want to thank you for sharing your pain, your letters to your brother and also good to know someone else out there had to say goodbye to an abusive and disfunctional family. I will read what you wrote and especially try to realise that I can live again while in pain and lay the past to rest sometime in the future.
Anytime I can be of service to you and xxxxxxxxx I would be delighted! It’s nice to give back, in small measure, what we have always received from you! Whether providing brilliant technical insights, support and advice or patiently listening and responding to life situations and concerns with compassion and understanding, you have consistently been a dear friend and trusted advisor! Thank you for that!
Thank you soooooooooooooooo much for taking care of our babies, you’re the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love your website and have got lots of great info from it. I often turn to your archives and find great answers.
Well, well, you have done it again! I signed in for the 1 on 1 with the Apple store, and it asked me if i wanted to save it in my calendar, which i did and it did!!! Hooooorrrrraaaaayyyy! Thank you very much for your continued and continuing support.
You have been an inspiration for me.
Thank you, Bob! You were a true blessing to my children in their immediate recovery from the abusive situation they came from. We will always love you!!
I appreciate your site and am in awe of the stories that you have encapsulated inside of it.
You are the most dedicated teacher I have ever had, and I am looking forward to other classes with you.
Without going into a lot of detail, I was fascinated by your website on domestic violence. I too am a child and adult survivor of domestic violence. Not only did I survive 28 years of it (childhood through 1st marriage), I am now a domestic violence advocate. Sometimes I feel that God had a plan for me to do what I do now but in order for me to help others I had to have a working knowledge of it first. Thank you for this important information you are putting out there for people like me, and those who are still victims, to be able to connect with and understand that we are not alone.
The kids are so excited about the books. Thank you for doing that for them. It means a lot to them.
I came from Africa three years ago and I have been at this college for the past 12 quarters. You are the best teacher I’ve ever had the whole time I’ve been here… Thank you for being our teacher.
You have a terrific website. I read the testimonials and everything I would have to say seems to have been said….so I will just say “ditto” and thank you very much for your time, money and effort in making all of the information available. I wish I had found it sooner.
I just read your email to xxxxx and she was smiling from ear to ear. Thank you so much. The girls have made so much progress. They both miss you dearly. xxxxx says “thank you, you are the best mr. bob”.
(Received September, 2009): I wanted to be the first to report that ComputerBob, contrary to his public image as a “computer guy”, is actually a powerful angelic being humbly passing himself off as a mere mortal. Why do I say that? Here’s my story:
In a desperate search for a Linux-capable person in the Sunshine State to help my 93 year-old mother’s Dell PC come back to life (it had been running Linux Mint, but only for a few days after I had set it up for her and then driven back to Washington, D.C.), I turned to Google hoping to find someone in the area who might be capable of discovering why it wouldn’t boot up any longer. This web site came up at the top of my search. It must have been the Lord directing Google.
After my brief plea to him for someone he might possibly know in my mother’s vicinity who could come over and help, he offered to be that help himself. We made arrangements, he drove a considerable distance to see her, and he resolved the issue–one that would have stumped me for sure. And don’t even ask about charges. Suffice it to say, he worked a lot cheaper than I would have–particularly in view of the distance involved. (I guess angels don’t need to buy food and pay mortgages, so that makes sense).
At any rate, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, ComputerBob. My mother absolutely loves you–and so do we, her three children who are all at very long distances from her.
By the way, she thinks you look to be about 25. So I hope that means a lot, too. God bless you!
Update, April, 2012: Back in 2009, you might recall that I contacted you regarding my elderly mother (Marge xxxxxxxx) and her Linux box that had gone fritzy, and you graciously attended to her needs. She–and her kids, from their distant homes in other states–were so grateful to you for all you did for her. Your expertise allowed us to maintain the email contact with her to which we had become accustomed, besides being able to share bandwidth-hungry content that made her life, 1,000 miles from us, more interesting.
I wanted you to know that Marge peacefully went home to the Lord last Thursday, full of days and having had many good years in the Sunshine State. Her mind remained sharp to the end, though the body just ran out of steam. And thanks to you and your selfless efforts, her last few years with us were far more abundant than they might have otherwise been.
Yes, it was just a computer; but it was also a channel of communication and a means whereby she could participate with the rest of the family in special moments, grandchildren videos, laughs, and news that the rest of the family shared routinely which many “extreme seniors” are not able to enjoy. We might have otherwise been relegated to written letters again. But because of your gift of service, we didn’t need to settle for that. Nor did she.
“Inasmuch as ye did it unto the least of these My brethren, ye did it unto Me.”
Blessings always.
(Received January, 2005): I took your Intro to Computer Science in 1999 as I was thinking about transitioning from a chemist to an IT professional. I loved your class and found it was just what I needed to make an informed decision and make sense of the want ads. I made the switch in 2000 and am very happy. I wanted to take an Access class this Spring and remembered that you taught one at xxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I held on to your URL for all these years and imagine my surprise when I learned you now live in Florida. I am happy for you (21 degrees F and sleeting right now in MN) and hope you will continue to teach in FL. It is our loss that you are not here to teach any more.
I appreciate that you gave to my children expecting nothing in return!
On xxxxx xx, 2008, I feel very good when I saw Bob working as a volunteer legal advocate at xxxxxxx Courthouse in downtown xxxxx, on the day of my return hearing for Domestic Violence Injunction against my husband. Bob spoke with me at great length, both before and after my hearing and He stood up in court beside me, during my hearing.
After that day, I was going every Tuesday to the Spanish Support group but I was needing more help one by one. Then I start seeing Bob xxxxxxx at xxxxxxxxx almost every week.
I was so lucky to have the opportunity to share my case with him, because I was learning so many good skills every time we met and he always make me think the answer for the best of my future, with different exercise and example. He was so patient with my English and with my bad pronunciation and always make time for me.
I’m really Thankful to All the people that work at xxxxxxx, but I know that part of my good recovery it’s Thanks to the wonderful gentleman Bob xxxxxxx. He made a wonderful different in my life.
Hope all is well with you and your family. We definitely miss seeing you during groups. You were a positive role to my children and all of us here at xxxxxxx. When I told them that I was going to send you an email they told me to tell you hello. So this email is to thank you for the assistance you gave to our family, we appreciate it and we will remember your kindness.
I have been associated with Bob in the domestic violence advocacy field for the past year. We worked together as legal advocates at xxxxxxxxxx. I have found him to be one of the most diligent, helpful, and resourceful people I have ever known. He is totally honest and aboveboard and has one of the best work ethics I have ever seen. He is willing to do anything for anybody at anytime. He is well organized and functions very well under stressful conditions. Many times, I have seen him go the extra mile to help someone in need.
Over the past year, it has been apparent to the advocates who are employed at xxxxxxxxxx that Bob xxxxxxxxx is an outstanding volunteer.
Numerous times, I witnessed him interacting and coordinating his work with the advocates of xxxxxxxxxx, assisting them with their participants. He was cheerful and up-beat, a joy to work with. He was genuinely concerned about the program participants and made every effort to support them, and also, to find ways the organization could better support them. He has been a real team player.
All of your services and contributions were outstanding. You were the first positive male role model my girls had ever been around… Thank you for being you. You truly are a blessing to anyone whose path you will cross in life.
Wow!! You are truly an amazing volunteer and definitely the cream of the crop! Over 2,000 hours in less than one year is quite the accomplishment and speaks volumes about your dedication to our programs. We would not be successful without volunteers such as yourself giving countless hours of help and hope to those in need.
Missed you on Tuesday. xxxxxxx and xxxx both were asking “where is Mr. Bob?” You are an important part of their week. Thanks for being a positive male role model in their life. Thanks for everything you have done and continue to do.
May God bless you in your family – for I know he knows you and loves you! Have a Blessed life.
I wanted to thank you for your article about your issues with your Mom and your family. I see it was written in 2007, and may be way out of date….but I am going through something so similar that I just cried when I read your piece. It is good to know I am not alone, and not wrong for feeling what I am feeling. Bless you and thank you from a random stranger.
I’VE BEEN THRU 7 YEARS OF ABUSE AND ITS GETTING WORSE ALL THE TIME. I WANT OUT N-O-W. SO COULD YOU JUST GIVE ME A LITTLE GUILDANCE, PLEASE?
I am a DV survivor and stalking victim. I was thrilled with your piece on name change and the fact that someone from outside the advocacy arena was reporting on the fact that this is a real reality for many victims of abuse and stalking. Frankly, even ID theft victims and cyberstalking victims are having to use this as a measure to live again so I am hoping that I may with your permission publish this post on my blog xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com and include information about you- your bio or any other key points about what you do to help you drum up a little business as applicable and also help to provide my readers with insight that not only are advocates painfully aware of the issue but so are folks like you! Great blog and thank you for taking the time to write up the piece I know it takes time!
I came across your poem “Victim vs. Survivor” on your blog an found it incredibly powerful. I am coordinating a Take Back the Night vigil for survivors of sexual assault, rape, and domestic violence at xxxxxxxxxxx, and I was hoping that we might be able to read this poem. We are hoping that this might inspire some members of our community to take steps towards their own healing. If this would be okay please let me know, and also please let me know how you would like to be attributed.
Thank you so much for allowing us to read your piece at our Take Back the Night Vigil. The people who attended absolutely appreciated and were touched by your words about surviving and healing, and I think these were really inspiring and necessary messages for everybody to hear. Thank you again, and take care!
I came across your website several days ago while looking for characteristics of abusers. I have been reading all your DV information posts since then… Bless you for the work you are doing to shine a light on such an ugly societal taboo. It is very real and it is closer to home than people would dare to realize.
I found your website early last year. I was in search of others who had been in abusive relationships with their family of origin. I just wanted to reach out to you and personally thank you for posting the most sensitive things related to your experience of abuse on your site for the world wide web and for taking that chance to do so. It really inspired me. I haven’t always checked your site from time to time and I always know if I forget your direct site I remember ComputerBob and Google it when I need to refresh myself… I am a 35 year old newlywed, this marriage is a first for both my husband & I. We both came from very dysfunctional families…. I just wanted to reach out and say thank you. Thank you for risking yourself to being so vulnerable to the world and for telling your story online. You have more courage than most. Your site is one of the very few that I revert back to in times of dire straits. Thank you for sharing your story.
I miss you both as a person and as a mentor… I feel you have so much insight and are so skilled at instructing at various levels… I’m sorry Bob, but if you are not instructing that is a terrible void for all concerned.
Even if I never take another course with you Bob, I shall never forget what a difference and impact you made upon me in a world that otherwise lacks heroes. You are someone to be celebrated and above all appreciated… you make a difference… and what could be more important than that?
I am not really sure how I ran across your blog, but I am so glad that I did. Your postings are so inspiring and funny. Your writings on weight loss are incredibly informative and capture the essence and difficulties of what it is to lose weight, more specifically large amounts. I have to tackle my weight loss which occured due to health issues and have been making small steps in that direction, but yesterday when I was walking I noticed a pattern in my thinking of small tidbits of information you published in your blog about how you lost weight, what it felt like and it inspired me to maybe walk one more lap around the track or keep up my food diary. I have read tons of weight loss books and read countless websites looking for inspiration and advice and I can’t recall feeling that way about anything else I read. Your writings about struggles, god and your thoughts and experiences really resonate with me. So, I guess what I am saying is…..thank you
. And keep up the good work.
“Never Alone” — What a beautiful article!! I sent it to a fellow peacenik. With world events swirling all around, at times shocking my sensitivities, this article was like a safe haven. A message about the purpose of life.
Your web site is the first I look at every morning, a good way to start my day.
Remember that you have positively impacted all of us.
You are a great person, not to mention a wonderful teacher who makes class fun and understanding.
Hi ComputerBob: You’re the real deal. Thanks.
Thank you! You are the most dedicated teacher I have ever had. For a
first time, before the first lecture I had read chapter one, I felt that
I would not pass this class because I could not understand it. We are
so glad that we have you our teacher. You explain things that are very
difficult to understand in a simple way, and caring about your students.
You’re arguably the best geek I have ever met!
I just wanted you to know my PC Support/Web Design students have truly found your site useful. So useful, it made the Research Site Wall of Fame.
Your site is up there with other research sites such as: HowStuffWorks & Whatis.com. Thank you from High Tech North in Florida!
Dear Bob; After reading your submissions and from a less than intellectual perspective, I am almost ready to not only jump, but leap at the opportunity to disgorge myself of the “Microsoft Windows” environment. The major problem I have is that is that my computer knowledge is that limited, I’m unable to do this task without help. Just to inform you I took a computer repair course several years ago and the result of that was that it only made me dangerous to be around anyone trying to make repairs or revisions to their problems. I truly enjoy all of your commentary though as well as each and every article I’ve read. Hopefully I’ll find someone local better than I to make the transition. Many, many thanks for all your help and suggestions. Keep up the great work. I extend my hand in gratitude and appreciation for all you have helped.
Thank you for your help! Thank goodness for experts like you who help people like me!!
I’ve always enjoyed browsing your site and taking in the expert advice you have on computer and web subjects. I’ve checked in almost daily for the last three years, if nothing else, just to get your fresh perspective. I nominated your site to DevX’s Daily Sightings (which aren’t daily anymore). They liked it and said they would feature your site on November 1st. They may have contacted you already. You will probably see a traffic spike at that time.
At times in this book [Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance], when the author talks about taking care of a bike, his “voice” reminds me of yours when you’re talking about computers! Maybe I’m imagining things, and probably you wouldn’t think it’s anything like you, sort of like when someone says they know someone who looks “just like” you and you end up thinking that person looks NOTHING like you… But I think it’s the slow, systematic approach he takes to things, the attention to detail, and the love he has for the machine… In many ways, it’s like working on a computer. I’ll be looking forward to you next book: Zen and the Art of Computer Maintenance.
(From the “MepisLovers” Mepis Linux support forums): ComputerBob.com in particular is the reason I am here — his dual boot article and calm clear written explanations encouraged me. MEPIS is his favorite. In addition, he doesn’t “reek geek” he truly is a geek and knows how to explain things.
Glad to see the high scores on the quiz. We couldn’t have done it without
a good instructor. Thanks for being so positive.
THANKS! I send out info to parents at our preschool, and over the past couple of years had parents who could not open my attached documents becasue they were in .doc format. I did not know how to create a PDF that any parent could open, till today that is… I decided to check the vast offerings of advice on your site, and not only found info on PDF format files, but a FREE download to create them. It took me all of a few minutes to download the free software, create my first PDF and send it out to the parents. Why I didn’t do this two years ago???? Stupid is as stupid does, or in my case didn’t! Thanks ever and always.
I have had some of the same thoughts as you. Thanks for making the issue
clearer though. I am not locked into MEPIS and may just move to Debian as you have. I read most of your adventure and found it very helpful, it would serve as a guide to the change over if I make the trip… Keep up the good work as I really enjoy your journal.
(Received January, 2006): You probably don’t remember me but my name is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I was in your first class CSCI 2070 Data Communications that you taught at xxxxxxxxxxxxxx College. I believe that was in 2000. I am writing to you tonite because i was wondering if you could answer some of my questions. I am building a website for my neighbor, they started up their own business and their website now is just a page and they asked me to build one for them. The questions they have are… Thanks alot and hope to see you some time.
I wish to let you know how much I have enjoyed your journal articles on Ubuntu, Kubuntu, and MEPIS Linux. I am now using MEPIS and Ubuntu, on separate machines… I have had somewhat the same experience as you having tried Mandrake, SUSE, and Red Hat Linux distros, which I found wanting. I went back to Windows XP having decided to wait a while longer to use Linux. When you started writing about Linux again I thought it was time to try the new free distros… Please keep the articles on Linux coming as there are (already) plenty of newsletters on Windows available.
I can’t speak for everyone but I do know that more then once this web site has helped me with homework problems and basic computer things. Thank you ComputerBob for taking the time needed to help the ones who don’t know so much about computer stuff to be able to communicate and understand them. I have also found out about many computer terms that I’ve been miss using. (I am saying this not as a student trying to kiss up, but as a person learning how to use/speak the computer).
Thank you, I only wish this class was longer.
Thanks for the great tips. They are a big help and I started to do the needed changes to my Web site… Once again I thank you for your helpful insight and valued opinion.
Congratulations on the site. Fun, informative and, the hardest of all, interesting.
Just wanted to let you know that I was successful in my upgrade to Windows XP! I’m extremely happy with my computer’s performance. I’ve
installed the latest version of AVG and all seems to be working fine. Thanks again for all your efforts!
You are a great person and a wonderful teacher. Keep on motivating students who never thought they could actually work with computers, let alone understand what they are doing and why they are doing it.
You are a great instructor!!!!!
I LOVE YOUR WEB SITE! I recently entered cyberspace and have found alot of useless info (a bit let down!) But tonite while searching for info to
help me with an e-mail problem I ran into your site and WOW!!! By far the best I’ve seen yet.
Thank you for your input on the Firefox browser. It was easy to install and works great.
I want you to know that I consider you one of the finest professors that
I have had… You have a way of connecting with your students. I will
always appreciate you for the time you have taken with questions and the
endless energy that you have provided.
This is my first quarter going back to school, and you have been my main
teacher. You are wonderful.
Thanks for the great work you do and provide free of charge to those of us who are cyber challenged!
I can’t remember when I happened along your Website, but am so very glad I did. For the past 3 years, I have been visiting your sites’ Software link, and along with your opinions, have downloaded shareware programs to ultimately protect my system against hackers, pop-ups and viruses… Thanks ComputerBob. I would have never known about these sites or how they worked, if it wasn’t for you and your Website. I give you an A+. Keep up the good work!
I owe a great deal of thanks to you Bob. You have taught me so much for
which I am sincerely grateful. You spark ideas, and create a better foundation for frontiering additional avenues for self-discovery and foremost in asking questions when there appears to be no answers.
I am so glad I had the opportunity to learn from the BEST!! Thank you
for all of your help with my life and computer problems. You are like
my mentor and I hope that it is okay for me to keep bothering you when
I need help with my future goals. You are a success in all that you do.
You are an awesome teacher!
Thank you. This is the first time I found your site and I have really enjoyed it. It is very interesting.
You are an outstanding teacher and a great person. You have enriched
my life with knowledge, integrity, and humor. And I will forever be grateful to you for this wonderful experience.
I will be taking more classes of yours. They may not apply to my degree,
but I know that good teachers are hard to come by, and gosh darn it, I’m
gonna take advantage of you! ;) You explain things that are very difficult to understand in a simple way that isn’t just jibberish. I think it’s really an art.
You’re great and sorely missed here in MN.
It’s been a pleasure taking classes from you this past year. You not only bring knowledge to your classes, but extensive experience… I take these classes mainly to gain from your experience. I can buy the book and learn it on my own, but it’s all the experience that makes the difference. Nothing can replace that! As you may remember, I took my first class in Web design from you last year. The textbook was lousy, and it was only your teaching abilities that made the class worthwhile. I am now taking my third class, all from you, because of what I get out of your classes.
I enjoyed taking your class and appreciated all the help you gave.
Hi Bob! Once upon a time, I was a student at IHCC, with you as my instructor. I always appreciated your work ethic and values.
Thanks, oh guru of making Geek-Speak Chic!
Thank you so much for sharing your time, concern and tremendous knowledge with us!… Your kind heart and very generous spirit and phenomenal mind are very much appreciated!
You are the MAN! Thank you!
You take the time to answer students emails, answer question, and have
a Web site with all the class materials so that it makes it easy for students
to succeed in your classes. Looking at the grades for the entire classes
that I’ve taken from you, that should speak for itself. You’re by far the best computer teacher I’ve had at any level by far.
I just wanted to post my praise for this class and this instructor! I’ve
been using computers for over 20 years and, like most people, learned
by watching/trying. I took this class to try and understand WHY and HOW the computer worked, and I’d have to say it was time well spent. I learned something in every class! Bob, you did a great job teaching a technical subject in English so even I could understand it. You have truly found your calling. Thanks for a great semester!
Thanks for the hundredth time.
It has been my pleasure to be your student. I have learned a lot from
you and your classes. You also made learning fun.
It is very obvious that you love to teach…henceforth, that is why you
are such a GREAT teacher!
My new computer is so much more functional now that I understand how
to use its systems properly… and I owe it all to a gift you were given that you chose to share… You sincerely care, and that makes all the difference in the world… I’m grateful to have such a great person as you for an instructor.
Thank you and God bless you.
Thank you for your ongoing hard work and commitment to making Geek-Speak Chic for those of us who are computer challenged! You
are the best!!!
The CB web page grows and has so much good info that I refer to it and get unjammed by some of the items I see here. Thanks.
You are a great person, not to mention a wonderful teacher who makes
class fun and understanding.
Thank you for all your help and being patient with my typing.
You’re a genius!
In retrospect of where my PC was when I first unpacked it from its box
in comparision to the deluge of software I was ultimately hooked up with
through class; your site; and this forum, I am amazed I could even tolerate my PC before. You have a good thing going here, Bob. Thanks again for sharing your gift with the world.
Just wanted to say I enjoy your website, I take a quick look every day. And also, it’s good reading your posts at mepislovers. I’m a Mepis user myself. Thanks for your work on the website!
My computer is only working now as a result of your advice. I’m a ditz in the operation avenue of software as I’m sure are others, we’re thankful for you and others like you that are able to save our butts. Many, Many thanks again!
Thanks for all your help! My file sharing and Internet sharing are working perfectly! You’re amazing!
Your ComputerBob entry for today, good stuff! Made me want more. It must take incredible dedication to keep this up every day. I hope you get lots of good feedback. I really appreciate your efforts and look forward to seeing what you’ve put in there every day. I look at lots of different computer-related sites, and I have many of them bookmarked. A handful, I look in on each day, and yours is one of the best of those. “Straight up,” as my homeboys used to say. No clutter, you just get to the point, speak your piece, and go on to the next day. Thanks for what you do, Bob.
You are an excellent teacher and I enjoyed learning from you.
Thanks for working so hard on your web site!
Thanks soooooooooooooo much for the help last night. I couldn’t have done it without you. Well……….maybe I could have, but it would have taken longer and it wouldn’t have been near as much fun (and I would have been sweating a LOT more). You’re great and wonderful.
Thank you so much for designing this web page, your web page is used alot in my web design class.
I’m sure that lots of people just don’t take the time to say something. All I can say is, I know that personal preferences vary, but three sites I like to check on daily are yours, Lifehacker, and lxer.com. And then of course the forums that I frequent, and my email, a few news sites, and a few sports pages. But as far as daily things done by one person, you’ve got something special going on. Some sites like /home/liquidat and Raiden’s Realm are pretty good, but yours is “a friendly place where somebody can get their bearings with a cup of coffee” type of place.
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with kmail problem, your solution worked for me too. I spend some time trying to make it work and like you try a lot of things. Thank you again.
Thank you for your effort in comparing web counters. I for one appreciate the time an effort it takes to use due diligence and sift through the mass of information available to be able to make a clear and reasoned recommendation on any facet of digital life. Soon my site will have a new counter courtesy of your effort.
Your web site is very interesting and filled with a lot of information. You obviously put in hours/days creating it. I have given the “address” to several of my friends.
Thanks to your inspirational journals I am learning more and more about the world of Linux.
Keep up the work that you are doing. You’re helping many people.
From Anonymous Course Evaluation Forms
He made it fun and he was patient. I don’t know if there is another computer instructor, but I would choose ComputerBob again. It’s easier to learn when it’s fun/relaxed.
The instructor was helpful and made you think things through to solve
your problems and was always there when you needed assistance. Solving your own problems is a good thing, because then you know the next time what to do.
I am very impressed with your site.
Teacher’s willingness to help never makes student feel stupid for asking
a question.
Best instructor I have had at this college.
How can this course be improved? Have two Bobs teach!
ComputerBob’s Web site was a big help.
Have recommended this course to many people already!
Instructor – excellent. Very knowledgeable.
Bob has a great presence. He makes you feel very comfortable.
Enjoyed most the teacher student open discussion method and the teacher paying individual attention whenever we needed it.
Bob is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructor. He brings his experiences and skill to the classroom and teaches in a respectful and non-condescending manner.
The instructor was very knowledgeable and very approachable. He was funny too.
ComputerBob is a great instructor and I will be taking more of his classes.
The instructor was enthusiastic and extremely helpful.
Bob is an awesome instructor. One of the best I’ve ever had.
I was reticent about enrolling because some instructors do not relate
very well to beginners. I am so pleased to have Bob as my instructor:
he is knowledgeable, concise, patient, witty and enthusiastic for starters!!
I will take as many classes as I can from him!
ComputerBob is a very knowledgeable person. I think his message board
and the course outline being on-line should be done by more instructors
– great way to communicate.
I enjoyed the teacher. He explained things very well and clearly.
The teacher’s open and friendly attitude to Really Teach and be involved
with students during a lecture or whatever, and not just teach trivia.
He makes learning fun and practical!
It is very rare to find a teacher who is able to radiate a good energy
level that will put the enthusiasm and enjoyment of a class in the manner
of ours.
He is outstanding. He loves to teach and it comes out very strongly in
class.
ComputerBob explained things very clearly, never seemed frustrated by
our questions, and was likable/approachable. He’s very knowledgeable and seems to really enjoy teaching.
I believe that he does a good job teaching the class and has a passion
for teaching the three courses I took from him.
The instructor is funny and very personable. He made the class light
and enjoyable and I learned a lot.
I learned a lot and the instructor makes the subject material very interesting.
The professor was easy to approach and made things easy to understand.
The instructor is not pretentious, and he tries to make learning an enjoyable experience.
Great being able to log on to his Web page to confirm assignments, questions, etc. He was always available to answer a question if you had one.
The instructor was very patient with the beginners.
The instructor is a great person. I signed up for two more of his courses.
The instructor was very personable.
I have recommended this class to several employees at work to touch up

I hope it’s OK that I’m calling you with a computer question after all this time, but I figure that’s why God put you on the Earth.
