I use a small Javascript to prevent spammers from harvesting my email address. The JavaScript displays my email address below as a clickable link that should automatically open your email software and create a new blank message, addressed to me.

If your Web browser cannot run Javascripts, then you will not see my email address displayed right above this paragraph. You will have to manually start your email software and then manually type my email address into your email software.

To reduce the huge amount of spam that I receive each day, I have configured my server's spam filter to delete any messages that appear to be spam. To help your message make it through to me, be sure to do the following:

Use your message's SUBJECT line to tell me what your message is about. If you're submitting a Guest Article, please put the words "Guest Article" in the subject of your message. If your message's SUBJECT line is empty, or if it contains just one word, like "Hey" or "Question," it will appear to be a spam message, and will probably be deleted before I ever see it.
Use your message's FROM line to tell me your first and last name. If your message's FROM line is empty, or if it contains just your first name, like "Bill" or "Sandy," it will appear to be a spam message, and will probably be deleted before I ever see it.
Do not send me any email attachments. For security purposes, there are only 3 people whose email attachments I will accept. You are not one of those 3 people.

NOTE: IF YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS AT AOL.COM, I CANNOT REPLY TO YOU. AOL deletes all of the email messages that I send to AOL customers, without telling its customers that it has deleted them. In the past several years, AOL has received thousands of complaints from its customers who have discovered that AOL's over-eager anti-spam filter deletes many of their incoming email messages without ever telling them that it has deleted them. AOL has failed to fix its anti-spam filter and failed to address its customers' concerns. If you don't like the fact that AOL may be deleting some of your email messages without your knowledge or permission, your best option is to drop AOL and switch to a different Internet Service Provider.
